Every Halloween the kids on Larkin Street trade candy on the curb under the porch lights. That year one pail rolled into the gutter, and by the time anyone looked, the wrappers were full of ash and something was reaching out of them.

When the Candy Turns to Ash sets an original creature feature on a rain-soaked trick-or-treat street, from a Halloween that never happened. Pumpkin orange, porch-light gold and storm-cloud violet light the spilled candy, the smoke and the full moon on this fictional movie-poster design.
